Crytzer's Blue Rhythm Band is a 13 piece dance band comprised of members of Glenn Crytzer's smaller combos. The small bands, which feature some of the Northwest's premiere early jazz musicians, have become a staple in the Seattle dance scene over the course of the last year with their hard driving swing and acute sense for what dancers want to hear.
Influenced by early Duke Ellington, Fletcher Henderson, Benny Goodman, and (of course) Mills' Blue Rhythm Band, Crytzer's Blue Rhythm Band will bring the sounds of the early big bands to life in high definition. Shine your shoes and slick your hair, and prepare to step back in time to a dance hall c. 1934.
Dave Holo's Quartet will take you on a musical journey through the world of speakeasies and gin joints ... Condon's ... The Cotton Club ... the French Quarter or the streets of New Orleans. Experience the sound - the songs - of America's Golden Age of Jazz.
A brash, hot, swinging four piece improvisational jazz band is a delight to the auditory senses. If you like music, dancing, or just having a great time with good friends, this is a must-experience band. Get yourselves down here and enjoy some of the best live hot jazz in Seattle.
