No, not at all! Just register and we’ll rotate a bunch in classes to insure everyone gets to dance with each other. If at some point, however, we are ridiculously lead or follow heavy, please understand we may suspend registration for some while it balances itself out.
The level of the classes is aimed to at least an intermediate level lindy hopper and higher. However, the teachers will gauge the class material based on the overall level of the class - if the class seems like they are progressing quickly, the teacher will throw out some more challenging material. And if you’re still starting out, give it try - a challenge is always good!
If you would like to be considered for the Masters Class, please contact the organizers. When you register, enter your Masters Class code in the appropriate form field.
In order to really recreate the feeling of a 1930’s/1940’s Big Band Hall, we ask that everyone take this one night of the year to really get dressed up in vintage style attire. This can either be vintage swing-era clothing you’ve purchased from a thrift/vintage store locally (think Red Light, Private Screening in Fremont, etc.), OR it can be a reproduction dress/suit you’ve found that looks like it could have been made in that era. Remember, this is your chance to “dress to the nines” and really show off that sweet outfit you never get the chance to wear.
Our biggest pet peeve = No Blue Jeans
Sure thing!
Yes! You can definitely videotape any performance and/or competition you’d like to… in fact, we encourage people to videotape and post their videos online! And because we encourage this, there are no fees for videotaping, so have fun and get some good footage!!!
Yes they are! If you’d like more info on taking a private lesson, please email the organizers at seattlekillerdiller@gmail.com. She’ll get ya all set up :)
That would be our housing coordinator, Max Aquino.
Sorry, but we're no longer in need of volunteers.
